BMW 3 Series – Pay £24,626, save £3234
Perhaps you prefer your rear-wheel-drive machines to be a little less focused and more comfortable? In that case a new BMW 3 Series may stand out as your pick.

Volkswagen Golf – Pay £21,306, save £2794
The Volkswagen Golf is the people’s car. It’s not particularly bold or brash but is a dependable hatchback that does everything rather well.
Especially in 1.5 TSI Evo GT spec, which coincidentally is the model we see on Whatcar.com with a nice £2.8k saving.
Hyundai i10 – Pay £10,015, save £1155
Cars in the Golf class have become a bit podgy in recent years, so those looking for a proper city hack experience now look to the class below.
